In this course, you will gain an understanding of mental illness, including the different types of mental health conditions and how they can affect people living with disability. We will explore the purpose of the *Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5)*, how mental illnesses are diagnosed, and the important role Disability Support Professionals play in providing safe, person-centred support to participants living with mental illness.
