You will explore the ABC model of positive behaviour support, learn about both responsive and reactive strategies, and discover how these can effectively reduce behaviours of concern. The course will also cover restrictive practices, providing an understanding of the circumstances and authority under which they are implemented. Furthermore, you will gain insight into the historical approaches to 'behaviours of concern' in Australia over the last 60 years. You will develop a deep understanding of behaviour itself, including the five stages of behaviour escalation. Upon completing this course, you will be able to: 1.
